ADD NVME STORAGE THROUGH AN M.2 A/E SLOT
This internal adapter converts a PCIe-capable M.2 Key A or Key E host slot for use with one M-Key NVMe SSD. It is intended for systems where a wireless-card slot is available and additional NVMe storage is needed, including compact PCs and other builds with limited native M-Key storage positions.
CHECK THE HOST INTERFACE BEFORE INSTALLING
The M.2 key shape determines physical fit, but fit alone does not guarantee operation. The host A/E slot must provide standard PCIe signaling and the system firmware must support the installed NVMe device. Not intended for proprietary CNVio-only wireless interfaces. Installing the adapter also occupies that wireless-card slot.
NVME ONLY WITH PCIe x1 HOST BANDWIDTH
Use with PCIe-based M-Key NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260, or 2280 lengths. The adapter does not convert SATA signaling and is not intended for SATA-based B-Key or B+M SATA SSDs. Performance is limited by the PCIe lane available from the host A/E slot and will not match the full x4 bandwidth of a native M-Key NVMe socket.
INSTALLATION AND STORAGE SETUP
No adapter-specific driver or separate power cable is required. Install the adapter in the compatible host slot, insert the NVMe SSD into the M-Key socket, secure the hardware, and restart the system. A new SSD may need initialization, partitioning, and formatting before use. Booting from the installed SSD depends on motherboard BIOS or UEFI support.
